Hi, I’m Tara, Kodachrome’s bassist. I'm 19 years of age.

I first picked up bass at the age of 12, as part of a school club encouraging youth to join bands and play music. From there I became utterly infatuated with the instrument, and over the years have spent countless hours practicing and playing in all kinds of ensembles ranging from bands to jazz orchestras to get to where I am now. My main influences include Geddy Lee (of Rush), Jaco Pastorius (of Weather Report), and Les Claypool (of Primus). 

This array of genres ranging from progressive rock to jazz fusion and funk metal lends a driven but melodic style to my playing. I also write and produce my own music under the pseudonym Astra and the Angels, combining all these influences and more.
